Fans tell him all the time, but Eric Nadel already knows.

He has a dream job.

It started back in Brooklyn, long before more than four decades of excellence took him to Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame. Enthralled as a boy by the idea of actually watching ballgames for a living, Eric’s name now appears alongside those of his heroes – but honors such the Ford Frick Award only scratch the surface. If you really want to get to know someone, have a listen to some of the songs they love.

That’s exactly what we do every Saturday night after Jody Dean’s Saturday Night Special, and this weekend I sit down with the voice of the Texas Rangers. You think the man knows baseball? Wait until you get him started on the subject of music.

Join me this weekend as we explore some of the songs that shaped Eric’s life, and talk about just a few of the wonderful causes he supports. You’ll come away loving the man even more.

That’s the all-request and dedication Saturday Night Special starting at 7, followed by “Dusty Attics” at 11…weekends on 98.7 KLUV!
