This Week’s Guest on “Dusty Attics”: Chef Dean Fearing
It’s really impossible to overstate the impact Dean Fearing has had on Dallas-Fort Worth.
Then you have to wrap your head around how he’s changed the culinary landscape around the world.
For those of us who grew up here, we remember what it was like before Fearing and others like him arrived. We had a few fine places, but now? In Dallas these days there is one restaurant for every 500 people – a ratio roughly equal to that in Los Angeles.
Dean’s been a fixture on TV since PBS’ Great Chefs of the West series back in the 80s (I’ll bet he didn’t think I could find this video)…but Saturday night we sit down with Fearing for radio’s weekly record-listening party, “Dusty Attics”.
And may I add that his playlist includes the best NASCAR song ever written? How fitting for Race Weekend at TMS!
It’s Jody Dean’s all-request and dedication Saturday Night Special starting at 7, followed by Dean Fearing and “Dusty Attics” at 11…this weekend on 98.7 KLUV!
